Schumacher SC-600A-CA is a 6 Amp fully automatic battery charger. This microprocessor-controlled charger automatically adjusts the amperage rate to charge and maintain the battery, and features Auto Voltage Detection to automatically detects 6 or 12 Volt batteries. This charger also features multi-stage charging for added precision, safety and battery life, and includes float mode monitoring to automatically maintain optimum battery charge. The reverse hook-up protection feature provides added safety, making it so that the charger will not operate if the clamps are applied incorrectly and notifying you with a flashing LED indicator.

The Schumacher SC-600A-CA SpeedCharge is a fully automatic battery charger that uses advanced technology to charge up to twice as fast as conventional chargers. It automatically adjusts charging modes to efficiently charge and maintain connected batteries. The 50-amp clamps are compatible with both top and side-mounted battery posts.     It does what it is suppsed to do I purchased the product from Walmart for about $30.00. I purchased it as a compliment to a more powerful but not automatic charger I already have. My main purpose is to keep boat batteries charged during the off season. After reading the instructions and hooking it up it went through the charging and stopping cycles as indicated in the user’s manual. All of the indicator lights worked as stated in the manual.     Basic 6V/12V Battery Charger w/ Microprocessor Monitor Schumacher’s basic charger – 6V or 12V, 2A, 4A & 6A charge rate. Automatic charger that charges, then goes to maintenance mode.
