    awesome tool as expected from Makita. That it takes 2 batteries is a good thing Works very well, much better than the POS Black and Decker that I had before this one.The two x 18v batteries give this one a lot of power and it runs forever. It went though branches up to 1/4” easily. It is not meant to go through 1” branches like another reviewer mentioned – this is a hedge trimmer not a tree pruner.     Great hedge trimmer!! Left me time to enjoy the rest of the day! Update – 2019-08-30 Just over 3 months – broke! Sent to Makita for warranty repair. Started with noise while trimming, specifically while changing position from horizontal to vertical. Grinding Noise. Drive motor seems to have become loose or broken. Will update review upon result of their examination.Hedges on 3 sides of my house!!!
