The XCV04Z (tool only) offers corded or cordless operation for maximum versatility and convenience. In cordless operation, the XCV04Z is powered by two 18V LXT batteries for 36V power and run-time, without leaving the 18V LXT battery platform. Using two 18V 5.0Ah batteries (sold separately), the XCV04Z delivers up to 65 minutes of continuous run time on low setting and 30 minutes on high setting, with 74 CFM and 36” water lift of suction.

    This vac sucks – he get it I love vacuums in general so please excuse my dorkiness..I love the Dyson Ball and a Miele C3 I use at home but I often think: I would rather be using the Makita, which I use exclusively for work.CONS- Batt operation has acceptable power with a light mess. So If it’s a bigger job, start looking for some available power outlets.(Cable is pretty long to it’s no too much of a pain).- Disassembling (cleaning / replacing the bag) can be a bit confusing for the…

    AC/DC versatility I enjoy using this vac every day. Low setting on AC power is a little stronger than HIGH setting on DC power, and the noise is linear with CFM regardless of mode. The duct engineering inside the housing and the deep 3 stage filtering makes this machine quiet relative to adjusted CFM. The fan impeller is made from strips of thin sharp steel stampings, very high quality with low mass, well balanced on quality bearings.It is a pricey sucker but there is nothing else like it for us Makita…
