Makita XBU02PT1 Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Blower Kit with 4 Batteries

Landscapers and contractors are demanding more cordless alternatives to gas-powered outdoor power equipment. Makita is meeting demand with an expanding line of cordless OPE that includes the 18V X2 LXT Lithium-Ion (36V) Brushless Blower. With zero emissions and lower noise, the 18V X2 (36V) Cordless Blower is a welcome solution for clean-up applications. It’s powered by two 18V LXT batteries for maximum power and run time, but without leaving the 18V battery platform. With the efficient Makita BL brushless motor, the blower delivers longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. Model XBU02PT1 is a kit and includes the Blower, four fast-charging 18V LXT Lithium-Ion 5.0Ah batteries and an efficient 18V Dual Port Rapid Optimum Charger. Makita’s efficient BL Brushless motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for up to 50% longer run time per battery charge than similar non-brushless tools. Electronic controls efficiently use battery energy to match the changing demands of the application for increased power and speed when needed. With no carbon brushes, the Makita BL Brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer life. When powered by two 18V 5.0Ah batteries, the efficient brushless motor delivers up to 28 minutes of run-time on dial setting #3 on a single charge. The Blower features Makita Extreme Protection Technology (XPT). XPT is a protective seal inside the tool, and is engineered for improved operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components.

The fan strength is enough for my purposes. I can easily blow away Winter snow dustings off of my car, driveway, stairs and my wife’s wheelchair ramp. Obviously it wouldn’t work for wet snow. It also has proved adequate for corralling Autumn leaves in my yard. It is NOT light weight enough to be handled comfortably by people of light frame and strength but, remarkably, it’s close to the same weight as my old outgoing ac-power-cord-driven blower I used to have. It certainly wouldn’t compete,…

This thing blows hard! My dad had a Ryobi one lying around but took it back, so i was absent a leaf blower to mostly clear the garage and driveway of dust, debris, and leaves. There’s 3 makita blowers to decide from, with the smallest one probably good for climbing ladders and clearing out gutters. The next model up is stronger, but I found a great price on the 3rd model (the strongest) that is practically the price of the second, that i went ahead and pulled the trigger.I was…

Great power. I am very impressed with the power of this blower. It is more powerful than the corded one my father-in-law has. I can blow wet leaves with it and anything else a blower should.cons. I got two 5AH batteries for it when I got it and they don’t last long enough. I have range anxiety. I should have got the 6AH batteries. I run the thing at full blast most of the time and I’m always worried that it will die right before I get done with the job. Also the blower is so…
