Least # of negatives No, it’s not perfect but at this price point it did exceed my expectations.Very solid straight to 90° pistol lock. All metal drive case. Rubber padding around nose of case. Battery status light. Trigger actuated LED headlight. Standard micro USB charge port. Magnetic and mechanical bit chuck. Lithium ion 4volt power cell. That’s just a few of the features. I haven’t owned a Black & Decker product in probably 30 years with all the higher end tools like Bosh, Makita and Dewalt…

I See the Light! Sometimes even when I don’t want to! This review is specifically fo the BLACK+DECKER BDCS40BI 4V MAX with Lithium Battery. I give it only (4) stars because of two design quirks that may be issues for some potential buyers/users. Some big box discount stores sell a 2.4V NiCad version of this screwdriver for about half the price. I wanted the Lithium Ion version because the Li-Ion batteries hold a charge for a much longer time between uses. Months longer.Yes it has only one speed, just like every other cordless…

The bits simply slide in and out, no tightening or pressing down on a release spring. Having the spare bit held at the top of the drill is smart as well. It is noticeably weaker than the worn out 7.2v drill/driver this replaces for me, however as just a screwdriver it still has adequate power for most any task and is an acceptable trade off for the smaller form factor…
