    Great base-model for small to medium jobs. This is a great entry-level jigsaw. I used it on a project with 3/4″ MDF, and it held up well. It was powerful enough to get the job done, and was controllable enough to cut sweeping curves and straight lines. It never hung up, stalled, or otherwise had a problem slicing through dense MDF. It’s loud enough that I used earplugs while using it, but it’s a power-tool so that’s not a knock against it whatsoever.The only thing I can say against this jigsaw is that the button that…

    Easy to use I got this as an anniversary gift and was so excited to put it to use. I found it very easy to use (I have had very little experience with jig saws), and it seemed almost too easy to load/unload the blade, but I guess that’s good. The blade that comes with it worked well to cut the 1.5″ cutting board I wanted to use it on (acacia). I was able to make more detailed cuts that I had anticipated, but had to work backwards sometimes in tight areas. My hand was sore when using it for long cuts…
